The Centre de Recherche du Château de Versailles is launching a series of workshops on Courtisans étrangers à la cour des Bourbons (1594-1789) (‘Foreign courtiers at the Bourbon court, 1594-1789’). These workshops are co-ordinated by Jean-François Dubost, professor at the Université Paris-Est Créteil.
The University of St Andrews and the Arts and Humanities Research Council are running a research project on Heirs to the Throne in the Constitutional Monarchies of Nineteenth-Century Europe (1815-1914). This project will focus on the roles played and the contributions made by those waiting to come into the inheritance of a European crown.
