The Society is excited to announce the call for contributions for the Society’s blog, “The Court Observer”, in 2025. Theblog serves to showcase new and developing research within and connected to the field of court studies. It provides an opportunity for scholars of all stages to develop their research, engage with scholars and the public, and disseminate their research through an open access platform, while enhancing their CV and dissemination profile. Blog posts will be based on original research, presented in a shorter, more accessible format than a traditional journal article. This format will be particularly suitable for works-in-progress, sharing research problems or obstacles, or posts based on conference papers.Scholars at all stages of their careers, regardless of affiliation, including PhD candidates, ECRs, and independent scholars.
Contributions to the blog can be submitted in languages other than English (when possible). Proposals must include an abstract (max 250 words) and a short bio and be sent to the attention of Kristen Vitale via email to europe@courtstudies.org. For more information or if you are interested in discussing a potential contribution to the blog, please contact the blog’s editor, Kristen Vitale, at the email address indicated above.
