
Hanna Sinclair is completing her doctorate in history at the University of Oxford, with a thesis focusing on the perceptions of foreignness and national identity in early modern Franco-Italian dynastic marriages. Her research interests include the manifestations of identity and self-fashioning; courtly exchanges and diplomacy; rituals and spectacle (particularly dynastic marriages and banquets); and visual and material culture. She has convened the Oxford Court Studies seminar since 2022. Before returning to academic study, she was an event planner for twenty years.
