Joining the Society
Membership of the Society for Court Studies is open to all.
General (free) members receive the following benefits (LAUNCHING IN 2025):

Standard members receive the following benefits:
- Three issues (physical and digital) of the Society’s journal, The Court Historian, which is published in April, August, and December
- Digital access to The Court Historian archive, containing hundreds of articles, reviews and listings, stretching back to 1995
- Monthly update emails
- Society’s newsletter (future and archived issues)
- Member exclusive conference rates and discounts
- Access to the members-only research directory and the court studies bibliography
- Exclusive digital content (including recordings of lectures and seminars organised by the Society)
Student members receive the following benefits:
- Three issues (digital only) of the Society’s journal, The Court Historian, which is published in April, August, and December

If you wish to join the Society for Court Studies by using a paper application form, download a membership (or renewal) from here: .doc/.pdf. Complete the membership form and email it to the Society at admin@courtstudies.org or send via mail. For mailed membership forms, please use the appropriate address listed below. Alternative payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer, standing order, or you can submit your credit card information using the form above.
