Miara Fraikin

Miara Fraikin obtained her PhD in Art History at KU Leuven and Utrecht University in September 2024. As part of the Horizon 2020-MSCA-funded Innovative Training Network PALAMUSTO, her PhD examined the spatial and ceremonial development of the bedchamber and the diffusion of the ceremonial bedchamber at the Western European courts in the Early Modern Period. From October 2024 onwards, Miara will be a Lecturer in Architectural History at the Department of Architecture at KU Leuven. Her current research interests include the architectural legacy of William and Mary and the (shared) material culture of widowed regents in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Europe.
